Our vision for Kids at Oaks

We know family plays the most important role in the discipleship of children, and we want to be a place where families learn, grow, and find encouragement.

From newborn babies to 5th grade students, Oak's Kids' Program is a safe and secure place for your children to come learn about God in a fun and exciting way!

What to expect

Kids Check-in

We begin welcoming children into Oaks Kids at 8:45 a.m. for first service and 10:45 a.m. for second service. With our secure check-in process, you can rest assured that your kids will be safe and well taken care of. If it’s your first time attending Oaks, there is a host at the kids program welcome desk who will help you get registered.

Bible Teaching

We use a selection of Bible-based curriculum to provide a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way for the kids to learn God’s truth from the Bible and apply it in real-life situations and challenges.

Friendship

We want your kids to build great friendships at Oaks Church, the kind that will encourage and strengthen them as they develop in their relationship with God.

Prayer

At Oaks, we believe that it is very important to teach children how to pray and how to expect God to grow and change them. During class, we always take time to pray for each other.

Worship

Each of our classes engage in worship using age-appropriate songs. We teach many songs that are also sung during our adult service. As part of worship, we provide an opportunity for children to give offerings.

Oaks Youth (The OY)

The OY is a weekly gathering of our junior high and high school students from 5th-12th grade. Our youth meets each week for small group on Sundays from 3-4:30pm. We are dedicated to providing a place for these students to connect with God, with other students, and with trusted leaders who truly desire to see them grow closer to Jesus.

Youth Small Group

The primary meeting space for our youth students is on Sunday evenings at the church office. The OY functions like any other small group at Oaks Church, discussing relevant topics in the Bible, learning to pray for one another, and growing in relationship together.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings junior high students attend the service in the auditorium. We desire for them to grow in maturity as a disciple of Jesus as they hear Bible teaching and worship God alongside others at Oaks Church.

We would love to hear from you! Contact our youth small group leaders Kristian and Stacy with any questions.

High School

You might be wondering, “Where does a high school student fit in at Oaks Church?”

At this time we do not have a regular meeting high school group. However, we do have people at Oaks who are passionate and experienced in leading high schoolers and are looking forward to seeing our program grow. We would love to introduce you to some of these people to begin building relationships. Ultimately, our desire for the near future at Oaks is to build a dynamic and encouraging place for students to grow.

We are excited about High School students at Oaks and love both them and their families; we hope that you will check us out.
