getting started

When you come to Oaks Church on a Sunday morning, you will be welcomed in the lobby just outside the Kids’ Space. A Kids’ Program host will check your kids into class for the day. We will print a nametag for each child, and provide parents with a receipt that is required for picking up your children after service. (Note: if you are able to complete the online registration form at least 24 hours in advance of attending Oaks the first time, we can have your information ready to go in the system when you arrive.) The host will show you to your child’s classroom, where you can meet the teacher.

Children may be dropped off 15 minutes before the service begins (8:45 AM).

Among the fun and games, your child will engage in age-appropriate Bible teaching, learn to pray for one another, and start to build great friendships. Our trusted teachers and assistants use the Bible, engaging games, and focused activities to help the children learn and apply God’s truth to their lives. If there is an issue during service, we will page you by putting your security code (located on your parent receipt) onto the big screen.

If a parent is needed during service, first time visitors will see the last 4 digits of their phone number on the big screen. If you are already registered, a family security code (found on the parent tag) will be used to page you on the big screen. If you see your code, go to the children's museum lobby where you will be greeted by a kids program host and taken to your child.

Shortly after the adult service ends, you should return to your Oaks Kids check-in desk. Once your parent receipt is given to the host, the Oaks Kids workers will get your child/children for you from their classrooms.
